Thank you to Donald Jones for his addressing of the "best
predictor of academic success" issue. That we continue
to believe that SATs really are the best predictor
supports our continuing difficulty in overcoming the
stereotypes we hold regarding the intellectual and/or
academic superiority of men of European background. An
odd notion, at best, but deep in the educational culture
of our society.
