I sent the message. I will elaborate as soon as I have time, but briefly
the porfolio consists of a folder of feedback and evaluation from
our particpants. Our program involves the techers in field reaseach
as part of this experience they are keeping a research journal,
modled on the kind of journal field scientists keep. This is
included in the portfolio. They also keep a personal journal,
not only on the research, but all aspects of the program,
including classroom use, personal observations, criticism,
suggests, etc. Bascially anything goes in the personal
journal. We also ask for a number of strategic "dear John"
letters sent at strategic points in the program. Our
program involves workshops before the field phase, the field
phase, and follow up workshops and classroom applications, We
ask for a letter at the end of each phase and in anticipation
of the next phase. We use these to track progress and get
a feel as to how each phase is progressing and where we are
succeeding and where we need additional work.
These letters provide valuable insight. In future years
I fully intend to add some kind of feedback during each
meeting to the portfolio, hence my concern with identification.
