We introduce this at the beginning of the Institute as an anonymous thing.
Some participants begin signing them after awhile; others turn them in
unsigned for the whole month. Realistically, the participants' comment style
and handwriting becomes very familiar after several weeks together, so there's
an unspoken acknowledgement of the decreasing anonymity of the comments over
the course of the Institute.
We do tell participants to sign the comment cards if they have something
specific about which they would like a personal response from staff.
