Connecting to Science and Math Resources using the Eisenhower National
Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education (ENC)

ENC provides information about science and math resources through its
searchable online database of curriculum materials from federal
agencies, commercial publishers, and educators. To date, ENC has
acquired and cataloged over 8,000 items, including print materials,
videos, kits, software, and Internet resources. The rapidly growing
Resource Finder provides educators with a wealth of information about
each resource, including a detailed abstract, appropriate grade level,
evaluations, field test sites, funding source, standards, and
availability.

To connect to ENC Online via the Internet, telnet to enc.org; via
modem dial (800) 362-4448 or (614) 292-9040. Set your communication
software to VT100 terminal emulation, no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop
bit, and full duplex. Once connected, press <RETURN> to bring up a
screen and type c to connect. All the information you need to use ENC
is on the screen. ENC's World Wide Web address is:

For those educators who don't have online access, ENC also produces a
series of print publications and CD-ROMs, all of which are available
free of charge. For general information, to get on our mailing list,
