Under a grant from NSF, TERC is establishing this listserv to
encourage and support communication for the Local Systemic Change
(LSC) projects. All Co-Principal Investigators and NSF Program
Officers involved in the Local Systemic Change projects are included
in the list. TERC will send you a message with all names and email
addresses for all individuals subscribed to this list. If you would
like to add or modify any name or email address for anyone on this
list, please send your suggestions to Jim Ellis [jellis@nsf.gov].
The purpose of the LSC Listserv is twofold -- to promote
communication and to provide a vehicle for dissemination.
First, we hope to promote communication among senior staff of LSC
projects as well as to support communication between NSF program
officers and LSC projects. We encourage you, the senior staff of LSC
projects, to use this list to extend the conversations about
interesting problems and issues that you initiated formally or
informally at PI meetings. Please post requests for information,
citations for resources (readings, materials, people, conferences),
questions, concerns, successes, tips, recommendations, and trivia of
interest to LSC senior staff and NSF Program Officers. The value of
this Listserv will depend on what you contribute.
The second purpose of this list is to enable NSF to disseminate
information about common issues related to the administration,
management, monitoring,and reporting for LSC projects. NSF will post
responses to frequently asked questions of interest to senior staff of
LSC projects. NSF also will announce new developments at NSF, such as
the release of new guidelines, special initiatives, reports, and
conferences. However, NSF Program Officers will address issues and
questions related to a specific LSC project directly to the PI of that
project, rather than by communication to the Listserv.
