I believe the last message (re>Jane's outline) was in response to a
message sent by Jane Jackson about motivation behind TE projects. Jane's
original message was sent to the TEECH general discussion group, Peggy's
response was sent to the TEECH Leadership group. Since many of you may be
confused let me take a moment to distinguish these two listservs. (My
apologies, that those of you on both list-servs will receive this message in
duplicate.)
TEECH General is a discussion group which has approximately 400
subscribers, and is made up almost entirely of PIs of teacher enhancement
grants. This large discussion is reserved for anything that PIs wish to post
that would be of general interest to a large group. It is not moderated and
the subject will change frequently. It is a good place to
post information of general interest, and to get information from a diverse
group of PIs.
TEECH Leadership is a list-serv started by Susan Loucks-Horsely last
spring to discuss issues of developing leadership in Professional Development
endeavors. It is currently made up of approximately 40 PIs who are interested
in this topic. This list was quiet for a while and recently has had a burst
of new interest. While Susan will continue to be an active participant we
would like to find another PI in the field to take a turn at moderating this
conversation. If you are interested please call me at 617-547-0430 or e-mail
me at Joni_Falk@terc.edu. We will restart TEECH Leadership after the New
Year's Holiday, and will draw on some of the subjects recently suggested by
participants. If you are currently only subscribed to TEECH general but would
like to participate in the TEECH Leadership discussion send mail to:
ntlist_manager@teech.terc.edu
In the body of the message type:
subscribe TEECH_leadership
A copy of each message sent to the list will be forwarded to your email
address.
TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE MAILING LIST AS DIGEST FORM
You may prefer to receive a single message per day which will contain an
indexed summary of all the messages that have been sent to the list in the
previous 24 hours.
To do this send mail to:
ntlist_manager@teech.terc.edu
In the body of the message type:
digest TEECH_leadership
If you have suggestions for a topic that you would like to discuss with other
PIs (it can be a with a subgroup of PI's such as those involved in HS
science) please write and let me know. Joni_Falk@terc.edu.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year. Joni Falk
