I can think of no one better than Dr. Wendy Saul, director and p.i. on
the NSF funded Elementary Science Improvement Project (ESIP) as well as
the Computer Access to Science Lieterature (CASI) program at the
University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Wendy is a leader in the use
of exposition in science instruction and is the principal author of the
CD-ROM Find It Science which is a compilation of bibliographic
information on several thousand science tradebooks in an interactive
database. She also recently co-authored a book on reading, writing,
and science teaching. She can be reached at:
