The Michigan State University College of Education seeks an specialist in
the area of technology in teaching and learning for a one-year
post-doctorate appointment.
Responsibilities include working closely with the teacher education program
to integrate technology into teacher preparation, teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate levels, and working on the development and
design of resources on the World Wide Web to support teaching.
The College of Education places high priority on research and development
aimed promoting higher order learning by students and teachers through
integration of technology into the curriculum. The creation of an ambitious
new Technology Exploration Center within the College is evidence of this
priority. The person appointed to this position will be a part of the
staff in the Technology Exploration Center, participating in the creation
of new models for supporting teacher learning about and from technology in
the university and in K-12 schools. More information is available at:

Minimum requirements. Applicants should have completed the PhD degree,
though applicants near completion of their degree will be considered.
Desired qualifications include experience in working with teachers and
educational technology, evidence of knowledge of educational software,
design of resources on the World Wide Web, experience in K-12 schools, and
other uses of technology in education. Salary commensurate with
qualifications and experience. Starting Date: August 15, 1996.
